we made the move! saturday night we moved enough to stay @ the house that night. it was fairly simple, and not too stressful. everything has come together so well and i suppose it's because i've spent 4 months thinking about how it should look. planning and organizing everything in mind. so far nothing has been a disappointment. we have already unpacked everything we moved and will unpack the rest of it as we move it. we are just making a trip a day to the old house and filling up with odds and ends then coming home and unloading. we have until the end of the month to get the rest of our things and clean up the duplex a little. home ownership is such a treat. i love that i have picked everything out and that it is all our taste and style. i love that the whole house is cordinated with our things. i love that the house looks custom. simply put, I LOVE OUR HOUSE!
as if all of the crazyness wasn't enough on sunday we got a kitten. one thing about our rental place was that no pets were allowed. we really wanted a dog and a cat. a cat seemed more managable right now. so in the moving truck we drove past a free kittens sign and then we had one. thats how we roll! all or nothing. Jack is the newest addition to our little happy family.

Congratulations! Sounds like a lot going on there. I much prefer cats to dogs. They seem to be much less destructive.
